ACRYLIC
STEP 2: Float, with the no. 12 shader and dry-brush with the no. 10 short round sable, shading with Blue Haven. Paint eyes and mouth with Lamp (Ebony) Black. With the no. 1 liner, add a crescent-shaped stroke in the bottom of the eyes with Purple Cow. With the no. 1 liner, add a shadow above each eye and below the mouth with a wash of Blue Haven. Line shading with Evergreen.
STEP 3: With the no. 1 liner, add a highlight on the purple stroke with Warm White+Purple Cow (1:1). Add a highlight in the blacks of the eyes and the mouth with Warm White using the no. 1 liner. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush a bit deeper shading with a mix of Blue Haven+Lamp (Ebony) Black (1:tch) – you are looking for a gray-blue color. With your no. 1 liner, add the eyelashes with thinned Lamp (Ebony) Black. With the no. 1 liner, add the wrinkles above and below the eyes with a mix of Blue Haven+Lamp (Ebony) Black (1:tch).
WITCH FACE AND NECK
Dry-brush brighter highlighting with Warm White.
Paint the hatband with Irish Moss. With the no. 10 short
round sable, dry-brush the highlighting with Moon Yellow. STEP 2: With the no. 12 shader, float shading with Lamp (Ebony) Black.
Paint the stripes with Spiced Pumpkin using the no. 1 liner. With the no. 12 shader, float shading on the hatband, across all stripes, with Evergreen.
STEP 3: With the no. 1 liner, add a highlight on the top of each stripe with Moon Yellow.
DRESS
STEP 1: Basecoat with Desert Turquoise. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush highlighting with Desert Turquoise+Warm White. With the no. 1 liner, paint the stripes with thinned Spiced Pumpkin. With the no. 1, liner line highlighting on the stripes with Moon Yellow.
STEP 2: Float shading with True Blue using the no. 12 shader.
COLLAR
STEP 1: Basecoat with Dragon Fruit. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush highlighting with Dragon Fruit+Warm White.
STEP 2: Float shading, using the no. 12 shader, with Cin- namon Drop. Line and dot the spider web pattern with thinned Lamp (Ebony) Black.
STEP 3: Line highlighting on the web with Warm White.
SPIDER AND WEBS
STEP 1: Line and dot with thinned Lamp (Ebony) Black. STEP 2: Line highlighting with Warm White.
BACKGROUND
Once again, using the punchinello, stencil some Burnt Umber here and there on the design itself. See Step 3.
LETTERING
STEP 1: Copy the lettering provided with this design (or print your own). Cut each individual letter out and then decoupage it into place on the design.
STEP 2: Let this dry and then add a very light wash of Burnt Umber over each letter to knock the whiteness of the paper down a tad.
STEP 3: With the no. 1 liner, paint a shadow to the left and bottom of each square (letter) with a wash of Burnt Umber. STEP 4: Using the permanent black ink pen, outline each square.
STEP 1: Basecoat with Coral Shell. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush the highlights with Warm White. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush nice round cheeks with Dragon Fruit. Float highlighting in the nose with Warm White using your no. 12 shader.
STEP 2: Paint the eyes and the mouth with Lamp (Ebony) Black. With the no. 12 shader, float on the lower lip with Dragon Fruit. With the no. 12 shader, float shading with Shading Flesh. Line a shadow above each eye with a wash of Shading Flesh using the no. 1 liner. Still using the no. 1 liner, paint a crescent-shaped stroke in the bottom of each eye with Irish Moss.
Line highlighting on this stroke with Moon Yellow. Line a brighter highlight on the stroke in the black of the eyes and in the mouth with Warm White. Line the eye- lashes with thinned Lamp (Ebony) Black.
HAIR
STEP 1: Basecoat with Purple Cow. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush the highlights with Lilac. Dry- brush brighter highlighting with Warm White. With the no. 1 liner, add some thin Lilac strands of hair – not too many. With the no. 12 shader float highlight with Lilac . STEP 2: With the no. 12 shader, float shading with Lavender.
STEP 3: Deepen shading with floats of Dioxazine Purple. Line little hairs around the face with thinned Dioxazine Purple.
HAT
STEP 1: Basecoat with Graphite. With the no. 10 short round sable, dry-brush highlighting with Desert Turquoise.
