One of the unfortunate side effects of cancer treatment is hair loss. Hats From the Heart is an organization that provides hats to patients in treatment— a small gift that makes big smiles.
Poinsettia Painters (Ventura
County, Calif.) has partnered with
Hats From the Heart. Throughout the
year chapter members paint pins—all
sizes, shapes, and colors—to decorate
the hats. Patients enjoy collecting and trading the pins.
PIKES PEAK DECORATIVE PAINTERS’ SILENT AUCTION
Pikes Peak Decorative Painters, Colorado Springs, painted seventeen chairs for a silent auction to benefit the scholarship fund of The Colorado Springs Conservatory. Admission to the event was one new child’s winter coat; 485 coats were collected for dis- tribution to needy children at Pinello Elementary School.
