STEP 4: Using the Micron pen, sketch in the lines that make up the tree trunks and leaf clusters. Using the no. 2 filbert, stipple the darkest value of Black Tie on the tree on the left side, then stipple the Birch tree on the right side. Overlap with Green Beret on the left tree.
STEP 5:AddtheBirchtreetrunkwithCottonBall.
STEP 6: Let the paint dry a bit, then add a few black lines along the trunk with either the Micron pen or Black Tie and the no. 10/0 liner. Highlight the Birch tree branches with Cotton Ball. Create the fine lines at the base of the Birch tree with the Micron pen.
FINISHING
Let the painting dry completely. Apply a coat of Triple Thick Gloss Glaze with the no. 6 filbert.

PAINTING TIPS
n Because this pendant is so small, it is best to paint it freehand. However, ifyouchoosetodrawonthedesign first, be sure to use the Micron pen.
n Apply the paint with a very light touch. It is easier to add more paint than to reverse the process. Stippling or dabbing the paint works best.
n To remove paint from the pendant, use a paper towel moistened with rubbing alcohol.
