- The Fiesta City Decorative Painters
The annual Holiday Party and Installation of the 2015 Officers for Fiesta City Decorative Painters was held December 13, 2014. The theme was “Holiday Bears Around the World”. The party committee planned the entire event with the theme in mind. Invitations were sent in the form of a “passport”. Nametags were decorated with flags and placed in “passport holders”. Attendees also received a tote bag with stamped cities from around the world. Centerpieces consisted of handmade evergreen trees decorated with painted
dots and strung with garland made with
flags from all over the world. The trees
were topped with bears wearing hats from various continents. Each place setting had
a clipboard with a continent on one side
and a painted bear from the continent
on the other side. Everyone had an
amazing time celebrating together. We
can’t wait to see what they plan next!
JANUARY MEMORY BOXES
Let it be Toled
The members of Let It Be Toled Chapter of Prescott Valley, Arizona paint beautiful memory boxes for the Yavapai Regional Medical Family. The chapter takes 20 boxes every six months to the Birthing Center. Vicki Roden, the Birthing Center Director, praised the beautifully painted boxes and
thanked the chapter for their time
and talent. She expressed how
proud she was to be able to give
one of the lovely boxes to a mother
who had just lost her baby. With
approximately two deaths each
month, the boxes provide a source
of comfort for those suffering a
tragic loss. In addition to Yavapai
Regional Medical, Let It Be Toled
takes painted memory boxes to two
other birthing centers once a year;
Flagstaff Medical Center and Verdi
Valley Medical Center.
