ACRYLIC
PEACH ON RIGHT
Pick up a small amount of Taffy Cream+tch Blush Flesh and highlight the lower right section to create a peach shape. While the paint is wet, soften the inner edges with the mop brush. Mix a small puddle of Crimson Tide+tch White Wash and reinforce the “split” with the round brush. Using the no. 8 filbert, place a small amount of washy Taffy Cream on the upper right area and tap the brush repeated- ly for added texture.
LEAVES
Shade along the outside edges of the foreground peach with Soft Black. Add some shadows along the rest of the leaf edges with Avocado+tch Soft Black. Let dry.
Using the same mix, add fine veins with the liner. Stay- ing out of the shadows, highlight softly with Jade Green+tch Limeade in the open areas. Load the no. 8 filbert with a wash of Red Iron Oxide and “dirty” the leaves in random areas. Let dry. Add insect bites with the same color. Add more insect bites with Soft Black around the edges.
FOLDED LEAF
Float along the lower edges of this leaf with Soft Black. Add some shadow along the rest of the edges with Avoca- do. Let dry. Add fine veins to the leaf with the liner and Soft Black+Avocado. Staying out of the shadows, highlight the open areas softly with Jade Green+tch Limeade. High- light along the edges of the lower section with very fine lines of Limeade. Load the no. 8 filbert with a wash of Red Iron Oxide and “dirty” the leaf in random areas. Let dry. Add insect bites with the same color. Add more insect bites around the edges with Soft Black.
DRIED LEAF
Paint the leaf with a wash of Soft Black. Let dry. Add a touch of White Wash to highlight.
Add very fine dots of White Wash with the liner.
PEACH IN FOREGROUND
This is the peach on the left in the group of three peaches. Using the wash brush, sideload a float of Soft Black and shade in the middle of the fruit (left area). Re- fine the blending with the mop brush. While the paint is wet, sideload a float of Primary Red+tch Autumn Red and highlight the open areas. Stipple between the colors for a smooth transition. Pick up a small amount of Taffy Cream and highlight the right section. While the paint is wet, add an accent of Blush Flesh. Stipple between the colors for

Reinforce the highlight with a touch of White Wash. Stipple to refine the blending. In the lower right section, pick up a small amount of Blush Flesh+tch Taffy Cream and highlight that area to create a peach shape. While the paint is wet, soften the inner edges with the mop brush. Shade along the edges with Avocado+tch Soft Black. Let dry. Using the same mix, add fine veins to the leaf with the liner. Staying out of the shadow, highlight very softly with Jade Green in the open areas. Load the no. 8 filbert with a wash of Red Iron Oxide and “dirty” the leaf in random are- as. Let dry. PEACH IN BACK
This is the middle peach in the group of three peaches. Sideload the wash brush with Soft Black and float a shade on the left, along the outside edges of the leaves. While the paint is wet, sideload the brush with Primary Red and highlight the open area. Stipple between the colors for a smooth transition. Pick up a wash of Taffy Cream and blend it in the red area. While the paint is wet, soften the edges with the mop brush. Using the round brush, place a small amount of washy Taffy Cream on the upper light area and tap the brush repeatedly for added texture.
PEACH ON RIGHT
This is the peach on the right in the group of three peaches. Sideload the wash brush with Soft Black and shade along the left area. While the paint is wet, sideload a float of Primary Red and highlight the open areas. Stip- ple between the colors for a smooth transition. While the paint is wet, pick up a very small amount of Blush Flesh to float in the red area; this will create a light pink. Stipple the area to refine the blending.
