Paint a delicate still life and coordinating frame for your kitchen or dining area.

PREPARATION
Sand all surfaces with medium-grit sandpaper. Wipe clean, then sand again with fine-grit sandpaper. Wipe clean with a tack cloth. Seal with Multi-Purpose Sealer. Let dry. Lightly sand again, then wipe with a tack cloth.
BACKGROUND
Using the 1" wash brush, basecoat the insert and frame with Light Ivory. Let dry. Lightly sand, then wipe with a tack cloth. Using masking tape, tape the borderline of the frame leaving a 1⁄16" gap. Apply Deep Midnight Blue in the gap. Let dry, then remove tape. Trace and transfer the main design lines except for the pattern of the tableware and frame.

STEP 1: Apply masking tape above the table line. Wash the table area with Asphaltum using the 1" wash brush.
STEP 2: Paint the wood grain with Asphaltum using the chisel edge of the no. 8 flat. Paint the wood knots the same way as the grain, but rotate the brush. Remove tape.
