STROKE ROSE: Refer to Stroke Rose Step-by-Step on page 69 and the Color Mix on page 66.
LEAF: Basecoat each leaf using the Base Mix. Add lights using the Highlight Mix, add shadow using the Shade Mix. Blend loosely. Make the vein by chisel-edge technique (See Step 2 on page 67.)
Warm leaf or Cool leaf is shown in the Color Placement Map 2 on page 67.
BRANCH: Basecoat with English Rose Shade Mix.
BUDS: Basecoat with Warm Leaf Base Mix. Blend.
BACKGROUND
Apply thinner of Winsor & Newton Blending & Glazing Medium over the surface.
Use Hellebore Shade Mix, Blueberry Shade Mix, Raw Si- enna, and English Rose Base Mix. (See Step 1 of the Step-by- Step on page 67.)
Blend loosely. (See Step 2 on page 67.) Paint the border with Blueberry Shade+Alizarin Crimson.
