the stems where they tuck under the leaves and grapes with Burnt Umber. Add some shading here and there throughout the stem to add some contrast. (See Step 2 of the Step-by-Steps on page 79.) Using the script liner brush, add a little highlight here and there with Olive Green. Add a touch of water to Sable Brown to make an inky consis- tency and add the little vines with the script liner brush. (See Step 3 of the Step-by-Steps on page 79.)
LEAVES
Basecoat all the leaves with Hauser Medium Green us- ing the no. 10 shader brush. (See Step 1 of the Step-by- Steps on page 79.) Use the Mezzaluna brush to dry-brush Hauser Dark Green onto the centers of the leaves. On the leaf with the fold, add a float of Hauser Dark Green un-
der the fold. (See Step 2 of the Step-by-Steps on page 79.) Highlight the outer edges of each leaf with a float of Hau- ser Light Green using the no. 10 shader brush. Add a touch of water to Hauser Light Green and add the vein lines with the script liner brush. Use the no. 4 shader brush to add a small area of reflected light onto the bottom left of the leaves with Country Blue. (See Step 3 of the Step-by-Steps on page 79.)
Thin Deep Burgundy with a touch of water and add an accent of color here and there on the grapes and leaves.
FINISHING
Remove any remaining transfer lines. Apply two or three coats of Minwax Polycrylic Varnish Clear Satin, let- ting it dry completely between each coat.

Marlene Fudge lives in scenic Lehigh Valley, Penn., with her husband of 31 years and all of their kitties. She has two beautiful daughters who are out in the world doing amazing things.
Marlene began decorative painting over 20 years ago and has enjoyed experimenting with many different mediums. In the last several years she has had a lot of fun with the designing side of decorative painting.
Marlene has been a member of the Society of Decorative Painters since 1995 and belongs to two local chap- ters, the Lehigh Valley Decorative Painters and the Pocono Painters. She is also proud to be a DecoArt Helping Artist and a Dynasty Designer.
