Ifound these beautiful, bright blossoms scaling my neighbor’s rock wall. After taking several photos I spent some time experimenting with composition, finally
settling on this design. In one of her seminars, renowned artist Karlyn Holman demonstrated a unique rock tech- nique, and this design seemed to me the perfect place to use it. Remember that when working with watercolor, both color and form are free-flowing. As a result, the piece you create might differ from the one showcased here. I hope you enjoy painting this piece as much as I did.

Before painting, transfer the design to the watercolor paper.
