the surface, then lifted portions of it as I worked and chalked the design on. Don’t worry if it’s not exactly like mine. This is your piece.
STENCILS
Use the brocade stencil on the center of the plate and the larger leaf stencil on the succulents stencil. I positioned it at the bot- tom, stenciled, then moved it up and over the back end of the bottom stencil, and stenciled again. Turn it around and stencil the other direction for the top. Use Graphite on the entire stencil. Wipe off excess paint on a dry paper towel and pick up Chartreuse Yellow on toe of the brush. You may need to do this several times to get the Graphite out. Place the stencil back over the design and add to the tops of each area. Wipe out with a dry paper towel. Pick up Black Plum on brush again – you may need to do this sev- eral times and add to bottoms of each area.
Using the Media Misters, spray colors as you like them. I decided where I wanted my pumpkin and leaves to go, spritzed the Orange below the pumpkin and orange leaf, and Yellow Green and Primary Yellow under the green/gold leaves. This won’t cover the entire area or may spritz outside the area. It does not matter. Have fun with your colors. The more pressure you use when spraying, the softer it will come out; less pressure, you get more drops, which is what I did with the Purple and Violet and used it very sparingly.
PATTERN
I will admit it was a chore getting the pattern on. I used blackboard chalk on the reverse side of the pattern, keeping it only on the pattern lines so it wouldn’t smudge. You will need to rub back and forth to transfer the pattern. I laid the pattern on
