When “tch” is used in a color mix, add a very small amount of that paint. Dip the tip of the palette knife in the edge of the color, and mix the paints to see if you added enough. You can always add more paint if needed.
To thin acrylic paint, use a little bit of gel with water.
Have some wet cotton swabs handy to wipe off unwanted strokes. Try to make strokes that are soft and loose. Practice on a piece of paper first, to build your confidence.
