I PICKED UP A PAINTBRUSH
By Linda Bierman, Rocky Mountain Hi Chapter of SDP
I picked up a paintbrush.
I never really opened my eyes before.
I painted a tree with that paintbrush. My eyes opened for the first time.
I saw the branches, some old, some new, some bent, some just squeaking out, the colors, the shadows that changed... The real beauty of that tree!
I never had opened my eyes before then.
I picked up a paintbrush.
I never really opened my eyes before.
I painted a flower with that paintbrush.
My eyes opened for the first time.
I saw all the different colors, hues, shadows, veins ... The intensity and beauty of that one flower!
I never had opened my eyes before then.
I picked up a paintbrush.
I never really opened my eyes before.
I painted a mountain with that paintbrush.
I saw ... EVERTHING ... the colors, the hues, the shadows, the flowers, the trees, the sky, the ground ...
What a beautiful world!
I never had opened my eyes before ... I painted.
We are excited about the wonderful happenings
of our SDP chapters.
