 ANEMONE
STEP 1: Draw outline of the petals by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 3.
Basecoat flower center by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 1.
STEP 2: Paint tip of each petal by drawing several strokes from outside toward inside using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 1.
STEP 3: Add some shade color on the petals by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 2. Add some shade color on the flower center, but leave the area of shine by using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 6.
PORCELAIN
  LET’S PAINT
Before you start painting, make yellow background ef- fect with sponge stippling; let dry. Paint anemone, daffodil, gerbera, forget-me-not, and leaves in this sequence.
Paint forget-me-not after you paint calyx and bottom border.
Yellow stippling area (bottom, lid, and knob): Soak sponge in water and squeeze moisture out first. Make background effect with stippling. Apply Color Mix No. 9+ Glossy Medium (1:1) with fine texture area of your sponge. Stipple the area with very light touch. Do not apply stip- pling many times in same area. If necessary, do it again after paint is dry.
Front side of coffee pot: Refer to the Step-by-Step fre- quently on pages 57 and 58.
STEP 4: Add accent on the petals by using no. 6 filbert brush, Color Mix No. 4 and Color Mix No. 3.
STEP 5: Add shade line on bottom of flower center by us- ing the no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 2.
STEP 6: Draw the stamen in the curved lines by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 6.
STEP 7: Basecoat the underneath area of the pollen by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 12. Emphasize accent by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 3 and Color Mix No. 4.
STEP 8: Add dots on the center for shine by using no. 10/0 liner brush tip and Color Mix No. 8. Add pollens on the tip of the stamen with dots by using no. 10/0 liner brush tip and Color Mix No. 6.
DAFFODIL
STEP 1: Paint front three petals of flower by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 8. Paint the outline of the cylinder part of flower by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 9.
STEP 2: Paint rear 3 petals of flower by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 8. Lightly basecoat cylinder part by using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 9.
STEP 3: Apply sideload on the petals by using no. 6 fil- bert brush and Color Mix No. 9. Darken by the line on the cylinder part by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 10. Draw the stamen by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 12.
