PORCELAIN
STEP 4: Add several lines on the petals using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 11. Apply shading by side- loading on the cylinder part by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 11. Draw the shadow line of stamen by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 14.
DAFFODIL BUD
STEP 1: Draw petals on buds by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 8. Draw the stem of buds by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 12.
STEP 2: Add some shade color on the petals by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 9. Add some shade color on the stem by sideloading, using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 13.
STEP 3: Emphasize shade color on the petals by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 9. Emphasize shade color on the stems by using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 14.
STEP 4: Draw and emphasize outlines on the petals and the stems by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 11 and Color Mix No. 14.
GERBERA AND LEAVES
STEP 1: Draw outside petals of gerbera with comma- strokes, using no. 3 round brush and Color Mix No. 9.
Basecoat the flower center by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 12.
STEP 2: Draw inside petals of gerbera with small comma- strokes, using no. 3 round brush and Color Mix No. 10. Draw the outline of the leaves and center vein by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 14. Draw daffodil leaves with comma-strokes by using no. 8 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 12.
STEP 3: Add shade color to darken the tip of the outside petals by using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 10. Basecoat the gerbera leaves by using no. 6 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 12. Add shade color to darken the tip of the daffodil leaves by using no. 8 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 13.
STEP 4: Add further accents on the tip of the petals by us- ing no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 11. Add shading on the gerbera leaves by using no. 8 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 14. Add accents on the gerber leaves using Color Mix No. 10, Color Mix No. 11, and Color Mix No. 3. Add some lines on the daffodil leaves by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 13.
FORGET-ME-NOTS AND LOWER PART OF BORDER
Scalloped pattern and lid pattern are six-time repeti- tions of same design.
STEP 1: The large dots are pressed lightly with a cotton swab using Color Mix No. 3; it will make color center thin and soft. For comma-strokes, use no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 3. For thin comma-strokes, use no. 10/0 li- ner brush and Color Mix No. 1. Add small dots on the top of larger dots by using stylus and Color Mix No. 1.
STEP 2: Draw a small circle on the center of forget-me- nots by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 10. Draw petals in the middle by using no. 3 round brush or no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 5. Draw petals of both sides by using no. 3 round brush or no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 1. Draw three small comma- strokes by using no. 2 round brush and Color Mix No. 3. Add small dots under the large dots by using stylus and Color Mix No. 1.
STEP 3: Add some dots around the flower center by us- ing stylus and Color Mix No. 13. Draw small leaves with the leaf stroke starting from the tip by using no. 2 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 12. Create center vein by using no. 10/0 liner brush and Color Mix No. 13. Fill in open spaces among flowers and leaves with a transparent green, mixed by using no. 3 round brush and Color Mix No. 13+ Glossy Medium (1:1).
