PREPARATION
Basecoat the entire surface with Chrome Green Hue. Lightly sand and wipe with tack cloth. Trace the pattern onto tracing paper. Locate the center of the surface and transfer pattern using white transfer paper.
LET’S PAINT
PETALS
NOTE: Each petal is painted referring to the Placement Dia- gram on page 56. Select the shader to fit the size of the petal you are working on and three values of pink paint for each petal.
Working on one petal at a time, block in color as referenced on Placement Diagram. Lightly mop toward the direction of the center, wiping mop on paper towel after each stroke. I refer to this as “swipe and wipe.” Streaks are preferred to indicate texture, so avoid blending smoothly.
