                                                                               ACRYLIC
  ROSES
To make the roses, double-load a flat brush with Titanium White and Green Meadow. With C-strokes create each of the petals, forming a semicircle to make the first layer. In the interior of the semicircle create a second layer of petals. At the top of each petal, trace two abrupt brush- strokes in the center and a smaller one with a U-stroke to close your but- ton. Let dry completely, then reload the brush with the same colors, trace two brushstrokes of waves emerging from each of the petals of the second layer, bringing them toward the center of your button. Load more Tita- nium White and make an elongated U-stroke with irregular movements and toward the opposite side.
Use soft comma-strokes in the lower part to simulate the petals. Let dry completely. Dilute Engine Red to the consistency of a wash and paint with a soft brushstroke on the rose in the left side of your design. Dilute Sunny Yellow to consistency of a wash and with a soft brushstroke create the rose in the center of your design. Do not add any more layers so you don’t cover your design. With the excess of your colors paint the leaves or the buttons on the rose to your taste.
FLOWER IN THE BEAK OF THE DOVE
To make the flower in the beak of the dove, load the 1⁄2" flat brush with Titanium White+Sunny Yellow (1:tch) and perform S-strokes. Let dry completely. With the liner brush, load Hauser Green Light and paint in the fine lines and contours to simulate the leaves of the flower. Let dry completely. Add a few fine branches with Nutmeg to add detail to your bouquet. At the tips of each of them, paint fine lines with a small amount of Engine Red+Titanium White (1:tch) to add highlights. Seal your master- piece with FolkArt Matte Artists Varnish.
