ACRYLIC
It will look much nicer, if those are very soft.
Shade the champagne with a sideload of Raw Sienna using the no. 6 flat brush. Let dry.
Sideload the no. 6 flat brush with Cool White to add a highlights.
Lightly shade the grapes using the no. 6 flat brush sideloaded with Silver Sage Green+Russet (1:tch).
Using the no. 6 flat brush, accent with Raw Sienna and Silver Sage Green+Russet (1:tch).
Sideload the no. 12 flat brush with Russet to paint the accents on the glass and card.
Sideload the no. 12 flat brush to apply Silver Sage Green on the left side of card.
Lightly outline the card with Fawn using no. 5/0 liner.
Using the no. 5/0 liner, lightly outline the grape leaves with Silver Sage Green.
Paint the pin, using the no. 5/0 liner, with Neutral Grey, then add highlight with Cool White.
Paint the lettering with Neutral Grey+Cool White (2:1) using the no. 2 flat brush.
SHADE, HIGHLIGHT AND ACCENTS
(Refer to step 6 of the Step-by-Step on page 81.)
Lightly stroke the edges of the petals on the roses using the no. 5/0 liner with Cool White.
Paint the vine with Burnt Umber and out- line each leaf with its basecoat color, using the no. 5/0 liner.
CENTER OF ROSES
Apply dots for Rose A with Burnt Umber and Rose B with Russet. Add highlights with Cool White.
You can add gray leaves with a sideload of Neutral Grey, and then darken by adding more of same color. Use the no. 4 filbert with Celery Green to paint the small leaves.
Add accent highlight on the glass and grapes with Warm White.
GOLD STRIPE
Tape a thin strip above the vertical stripes at the bottom of the card and paint with Champagne Gold. To lighten, add a final high- light of Cool White.
Dry-brush a highlight inside the card with Cool White+Champagne Gold (1:tch).
Use the no. 4 filber to lightly stroke with Celery Green and Silver Sage Green to finish the design. (See the photo on page 80.)
RIM OF PLATE
COLOR MIX: Texture paste+Fawn (1:1)+ Neutral Gray (tch).
STENCIL: Attach the stencil sheet to the rim of the plate then smoothly apply the color mix. Quickly peel off the stencil. Let dry.
