This piece was inspired by the painting style of Peter Ompir. When choosing a subject, that was easy! There is a pheasant hunter and a bird dog near and dear to
my heart, my husband David and our dog Gus.
COLOR MIXES
When mixing color it is important to mix enough paint to get through the entire painting process! This will help to avoid the frustration of running out of a color, right when you are on a roll. Storing your mixes on a wet palette ensures that your paint will stay fresh for a good two weeks, some- times longer.
When you see reference to “tch” in the mixing directions, it means just a tiny bit of color less than an equal part.
