STAGE ONE
STEPS ONE AND TWO
GREEN GRAPES AND STEMS OF GRAPES
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 4 filbert, block in values as shown on the green grapes. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, and mop to soften. Also, using the no. 2 round, blend to soften the values of the stem.
PRUNES AND PURPLE GRAPES
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 6 filbert, block in values as shown on the prunes.
While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, and mop to soften. Also, using the no. 4 filbert, paint the purple grapes like the prunes.
LEMON AND WHITE PEEL OF LEMON
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 6 filbert, block in values as shown on lemon. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2. Blend it to leave rough feel of material, and mop to soften. Also, using the no. 2 filbert, paint white peel of the lemon like the lemon; blend it to leave rough feel of material.
DISH
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 6 filbert, block in values as shown on dish. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, and mop to soften.
KNIFE
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 4 filbert, block in values as shown on the knife. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, and mop to soften. Be careful not to muddy the green grapes reflection.
KNIFE HANDLE
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 6 filbert, block in values as shown on the knife handle. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, and mop to soften.
GLASS
With reference to the Value Placement Map 1, Color Mixes, and Step 1, using the no. 2 round, block in values as shown on the background. Described in Value Placement Map 1, ※D of the glass = Background Dark+Prune Dark. While the paint is still wet, blend with reference to Step 2, using the no. 0 or 1 round, apply highlight.
