PREPARATION
Basecoat canvas Lamp (Ebony) Black; lower 3 3⁄4" band is Raw Sienna. Transfer pattern.
CAT
Basecoat cat Moon Yellow, except front legs, foot and muzzle which are basecoated Snow (Titanium) White (see photo). Stripes are Honey Brown, Light Cinnamon and Raw Sienna.
Using your rake brush, pull little hairs in rows that curve to show body’s roundness. Pull from light areas over dark stripes and carefully pull dark hairs over light areas spar- ingly to soften. Be sure to pull hairs in the direction that they grow. Play with the colors until you like the results and after all markings are in place, wash over all with thinned Raw Sienna, except white areas. Dry.
Now brush-mix Moon Yellow and Snow (Titanium) White and pull random highlights on cat’s ears, head, and back. White areas are shaded with a thinned Slate Grey float. Shade under cat and yarn ball with Burnt Umber, followed
