Objectives
• To inform applicants about the Certification program, the judging process and explain what the judges look for based on the critique form.
• To explain the Standards process that was set in 1985 and how the submissions are judged compared to the Standard 75%, 65% and 55%.
• The Certification program encourages independent thinking in all areas of art.
This seminar will provide an opportunity to learn how to plan a painting using a checklist of artistic concepts and also principles related to the Certification critique form: Overall Effect, Color Management, Blending Skills, Stroke Control, Value Control, Intensity Control, Linework and Detail, Background, Frame, Neatness and Finish.
