INSIDE EDGE PATTERN
Paint the miniature roses, small flowers, small leaves following the previous instructions. Press the donut dots so that they become smaller and smaller using a pointed Q-tip and Color Mix No. 2.
ON THE NECK
At the neck, connect the miniature roses with a ribbon. The ribbons are painted, using the #4 filbert brush and Color Mix No. 1 + Glossy Medium (2:1).
FINISHING
After painting, allow the pitcher to air dry for 24 hours. Place the pitcher in an unheated oven. Turn the oven to 3000 F (1500 C) and bake for 35 minutes. Turn the oven off and allow the pitcher to remain in the oven 1–2 hours after baking, until cool.

Ginko Otaka mda, tda has been an active and enthusiastic member of SDP since 1989. She is a familiar sight at Conferences, having attended each of last twenty-eight and her volunteer work for the Society is exhaustive, including everything from teaching in Master keys classes to hand-painting strokework borders in the showrooms of the SDP Permanent Collection. She is an accomplished painter and designer, with emphases on still life, trompe ’l oeil, florals, and rosemaling. Her teaching has taken her throughout her native Japan and to other countries. Ginko also nurtures an interest in photography. Her paintings on enamel-ware are wildly supported throughout the world, including Japan and Asia to name a few. She has been involved as a pioneer of online painting lessons in Japan.
