Helena Rizzaro Andrejev has been a member of SDP for more than fifteen years. She has experimented with paint in a variety of surfaces and styles, but oil is her favorite medium. From reverse glass painting with an art nouveau style, to faux finish walls and portrait painting, Helena has learned the intriguing possibilities of a brush filled with paint and passion. With a degree in psychology and many years working in that field, she sees art as
a reflection of one’s soul. Helena has won many prizes, including Artist of the Year at SDP’s 2004 Phoenix, Ariz. Conference. One of Helena’s original oil paintings is displayed at the Library of Congress, and she has published several instructional magazine articles. She has taught oil painting and design in the United States and Brazil. Helena also has a passion for animals and is always involved in pet advocacy. Email Helena at helenarha@gmail.com.
