AREA A: Apply a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue to all of the photo areas. A Cerulean Blue Hue horizontal stripe is applied at the top and bottom. Re- peat the stripes once more to give a stronger color stripe. The snow- flakes are Cerulean Blue Hue.
AREA B: Apply a wash mixture of Cerulean Blue Hue+Opera Red. With a liner brush and Cerulean Blue Hue add the line work. To paint the oval, use a flat brush wash with a mix of Cerulean Blue Hue+Opera Red.
AREA C: Apply a wash of Opera Red for background. To add detail, use the liner brush, and a wash of Quinacridone Red. For the oval de- sign, paint with wash of Opera Red then add a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue+Opera Red.
AREA D: Apply a wash of Ceru- lean Blue Hue. Allow it to dry, then repeat. The snowflake is Cerulean Blue Hue.
FINISHING
Refer to the project on page 22.
Apply a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue to the outside border then, add a wash of Indigo to make a gradation. On the left corner, make a gradation by adding a wash of Opera Rose.
