WATERCOLOR
SNOWMAN
Refer to the Step-by-Step on page 25.
The white paper will be the main color of the snow- man. Use choppy brush strokes to make the shape of the snowman.
STEP 1: Apply a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue at the bot- tom and left side of snowman.
STEP 2: Apply a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue+Indigo (1:tch) to shade the snowball and to add shade to the cap and muffler. Repeat to deepen the shadows.
Create a mix of Burnt Sienna+Burnt Umber paint the eyes, mouth, arm and hands.
POST BOX AND ROBBIN
Refer to the Step-by-Step on page 25.

mailbox post. Next paint a wash of Burnt Sienna+Burnt Umber on branches and left side of the tree.
STEP 2: The robin’s head and tail are a wash of New Gamboge+Quinacridone Red. The robin’s wing is a wash of New Gamboge. Shade the body with a wash of Ceru- lean Blue Hue.
WOOL CAP
Refer to the Step-by-Step on page 25.
STEP 1: Add a wash of Cerulean Blue Hue for left side of the shaded area.
STEP 2: Add a wash of Opera Rose.
STEP 3: Using a liner with a wash of Burnt Sienna+Burnt Umber, paint the knitted detail, then add a wash of Ceru- lean Blue+Opera Red to complete the detail.
