All details are painted with the no. 10/0 script liner unless instructed dif- ferently. When using a script liner, use an inky consistency paint. Roll the tip on the palette to thin and achieve a point at the tip for finer lines.
Add a few drops of Easy Float to the clean water to assist with shading and highlighting.
Dampen the area you are working in with water for floating and blending. Try to avoid puddles.
Use the mop brush to remove water lines and to soften the floating and highlighting.
When using the deerfoot brush for stippling, make sure to use the tip of the brush only and loaded with very little paint at a time.
 COLOR MIXES
  Dolphin+Black Tie (2:1) Green Beret+Vanilla Shake (2:1)
LET’S PAINT
FENCE
Use the no. 1⁄4" flat wash to apply a basecoat to the front section with Dolphin and allow it to dry before proceeding. Each fence board edge will get a basecoat with a mixture of Dolphin+Black Tie (2:1) using the no. 2 liner. When finished, let dry completely.
The no. 4 chisel blender will be used for dry brushing. To accomplish this tech- nique, load the bristles with paint; rub on paper towel to remove as much paint as pos- sible until almost dry; then apply to the instructed surface with a light pressure. (This is also a good way to test the shading before applying to the surface.) Repeat the step, if necessary. Dry brush sections on the front and backboard with the grey mix, Brown Sugar, Coffee Bean, and Black Tie. Keep your brush dirty after each color.
Along the front in different sections of the pickets, use the 1⁄4" angular to float with Coffee Bean and Black Tie. Float the side of all the pickets with Black Tie
and highlight a few areas with Vanilla Shake. Use the no. 10/0 script liner
to outline the sides and apply cracks in the boards with Black Tie, plus a
few sections in Coffee Bean. Use the stylus to dot the nails.
PUMPKIN
Add a basecoat to the pumpkins with Pumpkin Patch, us- ing the no. 12 filbert. After they dry completely, trace on the de- tails of each pumpkin. Use the no. 14 dry brush to dry brush the center of the pumpkins with a brush mix of Pumpkin Patch+ Vanilla Shake and allow them to dry.
