 WINE BOTTLE BAG
Apply a coat of DecoArt Multi-Purpose Sealer to seal the surface of the paper bag. When dry, apply the pattern with dark graphite.
STEP 1: Leaves are basecoated by filling the no. 4 flat brush with Celery Green and then edging one corner of the brush into Plantation Pine. Blend on palette to soften the colors together. Apply down the remaining side of the leaf.
STEP 2: Repeat down the remaining half of the leaf.
STEP 3: Vein is done with the liner brush filled with Planta- tion Pine and just a little water. Hit and miss lining along edges of the leaf.
ASTERS
STEP 1: Using the liner brush filled with Raw Sienna, pull lines from the petals to where they connect to the flower center. STEP 2: Leave the brush dirty and add Antique Gold Deep; pull from the outside end of the petals toward the center.
STEP 3: Add Golden Straw on the same dirty brush and apply this layer of petals. These petals are shorter.
STEP 4: Add Sunny Day to the dirty brush and apply the shorter row of petals. Center is dabbed in with equal amounts of Raw Sienna and Alizarin Crimson using the small flat brush. Add a few dots of Sunny Day for highlights.
STEP 5: The last layer of petals is Snow (Titanium) White add- ed to the dirty brush and only applied to the front half of the flower. Clean the flat brush and edge into a little Raw Sienna on one corner of the brush and add a little Plantation Pine to the same corner of the brush. Apply a hit-and-miss darkest shadow around the center of the flower. Keep the dark against the center of the flower center. Use the full width of the brush.
STEP 6: Add small short petals in front of center with the liner brush, using the petal colors.
GRAPES
Dab pouncer into water and blot on paper towels before loading with colors.
STEP 1: Dab the pouncer into Red Violet and then dab on the palette. Edge the side of the pouncer into a little Dioxazine Purple. Add a tiny bit of Snow (Titanium) White on the remain- ing side of the pouncer. Dab on the palette to see your grape shade. Add more color if necessary.
STEP 2: Set the pouncer on the palette and gently twist the han- dle one-quarter turn. Repeat if you want a more blended grape. Each time you add color for another grape the color changes and adds more interest.
