LET’S PAINT
First you can tangle the angel’s dress with the named tangles below only doing the black ink at first, then the blue ink. I made step-outs or Step-by-Step examples of the tangles for you to follow (see page 55). You read the step-out from left to right and the red ink in each box is the new step. If you do not have experience with tangling you may want to practice each tangle before you start the dress. If you are an experienced tangler you are welcome to use some of your favorite tangles.
Refer to the Step-by-Step on page 55 for the tangles you will do first; they are numbered on your pattern to coincide with these numbers.
1 - FLORZ VARIATION: Center of her dress – black ink. 2 - FLUX VARIATION: Down the sides of the Florz pattern – black ink – blue ink inside teardrops.
3 - HIBRED VARIATION: The design on her hips – black ink; after drawn, fill in with blue ink between the top two lines.
DOODLES ON HER DRESS
4A - CHAIN DOODLE: Chain around her neck – black ink, plus the chain to the gem on her skirt – blue ink.
4B - TOP OF SLEEVES: Trim on the top of sleeves and where sleeves attach to the body – black ink.
4C - INSIDE SLEEVES: – Black ink.
4D - BOTTOM OF DRESS: At the very bottom of dress- blue ink.
5 - PAM’S FLOURISH: In ruffle – unknown designer, plus my ideas – black ink with cross-hatching in back- ground with light blue fine line pen.
6 - EDDY VARIATION: The ruffle of the dress with blue ink and background – black ink.
7 - ONAMATO VARIATION: blue ink. At this point you can erase dress pattern lines you may have not covered. Use your soft white eraser.
8 - AMAZE: Add loose scribbles for the background of Eddy Variation. Hold your pen straight up and down from the paper with a loose grip and scribble. Make sure not to cross any lines.
