National Voters Day
The College Political Science Department in association with the Revenue Department, Movva and Eenadu
commemorated National Voters Day(NVD) on January 25th, aligning with the Government of India's
initiative to celebrate this day annually. Geared towards encouraging greater involvement of young voters in
the political process, January 25th is designated for enrolling eligible voters and presenting them with their
Electoral Photo Identity Cards. This endeavor aspires to instill a sense of empowerment and pride among the
youth, motivating them to actively participate in the electoral process.
In a special ceremony, our college Vice-Principal, Smt. K. R. Manjula, Sri Veeranjaneya Prasad, Tahsildar,
Movva, and Sri Sandeep SI, Police Station, Kuchipudi were the dignataries present on this occasion and
they conducted NVD pledge and asked the students to repeat the pledge. The pledge emphasized the need to
cherish democratic traditions of the country and to carry out free, fair and peaceful elections with dignity,
fearlessness and void of religious, racial, casteist, lingual and communal influences. The pledge was carried
out successfully and acted as a reminder for the citizens to vote. Later, they enlightened the students on this
year's theme: "Nothing Like Voting, I Vote For Sure" fostering a deeper understanding of civic
responsibilities.
In light of this occasion, Dr.M. Sundara Rao, HOD, Department of Political Science, conducted
competitions like Debate, Essay writing and Quiz and the winners were awarded prizes.
