Science Day Celebrations
National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28. The day marks the discovery of the
Raman effect by renowned physicist CV Raman. The theme of National Science Day this year is 'Global
Science for Global Wellbeing'. The theme indicates India's emerging global role and rising visibility in the
international arena. We celebrated Science Day with great pomp and show this year. All the science
departments of our college paid floral tributes to CVRaman. The Department of Physics conducted a
national level online quiz on this occasion and received huge response from the students.

The Department of Chemistry exhibited science models out of which rain water harvesting and drip
irrigation models were outstanding. The department of chemistry conducted an online National E-Quiz on
chemistry on the occasion of National science day on 28-02-2023 about 237 responses were received from
various colleges both the telugu states of AP & Telangana. All the science departments conducted online
“Motivational Talk on the Role of Science and Technology in Today’s life” by inviting J. Girish Gupta,
Research Engineer & technical manager at IRSDL. He spoke in depth about artificial intelligence,
machine learning data science which forms the basis of all computer learning & its applications in everyday
life such as financial services, fraud detection, retail purchase predections and virtual constomer assistance.
He urged the students to pursue higher studies and motivated them to do research.
