OCAF offers one-stop holiday shopping
The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation is a reliable source of one-stop shopping for handcrafted seasonal décor. You will find stunning wreaths, creative table settings and ornaments by local artisans.
The 27th annual Holiday Market will open Friday, Dec. 3 from 5-8 p.m. and continue Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $5 per adult for three-day access. Children under the age of 16 are free.
The market offers unique arts and crafts from 70 of the region’s most gifted artists. Items include pottery, paintings, fiber art, stained and fused glass, jewelry, sculpture, photography and woodwork.
The Artists’ Shoppe features OCAF members who will show and sell their creations in the Members Gallery from Friday, Dec.
3, until Wednesday, Dec. 22.
“The Holiday Market and Artists’ Shoppe are great ways to support local artists, to shop local and to get amazing one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts,” said OCAF Executive Director Wendy Cooper. “And some people really like to talk to the artist and learn what went into creating a piece and the story behind it. A lot of time and thought goes into each creation.”
