Wynn says that after the NFL, he spends his time and energy on his family. Below, As a former professional football player, Jarius Wynn enjoys coaching children.
Wynn went on to play for the Tennessee Titans, the San Diego Chargers, the Dallas Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. Wynn was released by the Buf- falo Bills in 2016, and he announced his retire- ment from professional football in 2017.
There were two factors involved in Wynn’s decision to retire. The first was that he tore his ACL. The second was his little girl.
“I was on my way back [after the injury],” he recalled. “But then my little girl said, ‘Dad, aren’t you tired. I’m tired of seeing you get hurt’.”
Wynn was moved by his daughter’s words.
“So, after she told me that, I just tried to find things I could do outside of football,” he said. Wynn said the transition to post- football life was tough at first.
“It was tough just because the football world is totally different from doing everyday things,” Wynn said. “I was used to being hands-on, and once I retired, I really didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I started over. I’m just doing some of everything.”
Wynn started a real estate group in 2017. The Wynn Realty Group LLC has grown into flipping houses, buying and holding homes, construction work, wholesaling, renovations and carpentry. But what really brought the spark back to Wynn’s life was pressure washing.
