Owen also makes miniature sleeping bags. The smallest size will fit action figures or Barbies, while the largest one will fit an American Girl doll or an 18-inch stuffed animal.
His mother, Lisa, helps him choose the fabric. When Owen got the sewing machine, he taught his mother how to use it and together they sew the pockets onto the tooth fairy pillows.
“Owen’s Creative Creations” even has a Facebook page now.
“It started out as something small and turned into something really big,” Owen said of his business. “I really want to learn how to sew different shapes and masks for kids.”
The hard work is worth it when he sees the smiles of his customers.
“I like that it makes people happy,” said Owen.
