Employee Development Planning
6
It couldn’t be clearer; employees want opportunities for development, and if your organization isn’t offering them, they’ll leave.
But what sort of career development opportunities are they looking for? How can you ensure you’re building employee development programs that they’ll value? This study seeks to answer those questions. Continue reading this ebook to answer:
• Whose responsibility is professional development?
• What types of content do employees want?
• What form of development do employees prefer?
• Are some forms of development offered too much or not enough?
• Do the answers to these questions vary by demographics or psychographics?
About the Survey
Our research panel of nearly 14,000 employees, who were also surveyed through our Best Places to Work program, were invited to participate in a short survey about professional development preferences. Slightly more than 1,700 employees completed the survey. Respondents represented a wide range of ages, education level, and tenure, as well as both men and women. Results in this report leverage the respondents’ engagement profile that was determined via the Best Places to Work survey they previously completed.
Make work awesome.
