This week, the Year 7 students in Ms Amaka’s History class participated in a short video presentation
on Sundiata Keita and Mansa Musa. Students were expected to be able to describe the contribution of Sun-
diata Keite and Mansa Musa to the growth of Ancient Mali. They had the option of making a short video of
themselves discussing either Mansa Musa or Sundiata Keita as part of their class activity.

We also will give you a snapshot of what transpired in Ms Amaka’s Year 9 History class as they explored
The Berlin Wall and the reaction of the West to the construction of the Berlin Wall'. The objective of the
lesson was to equip the students with the knowledge of how the United States of America (USA) reacted to
the construction of the Berlin Wall by the defunct United Sovereign State of Russia (USSR).
In the class activity, the students were asked to make a presentation of a short video of themselves discussing
the reasons that USSR gave for constructing the wall and how the West reacted to it. Sit back and watch
