In the light of the letter sent to you by the Board earlier this week, I humbly request that all outstanding
fees are settled before the Study-Free Week elapses. The Bursar and his team have sent you the updated
invoices and credit notes following the Board’s decision to offer a discount during these uncertain
times.
I firmly believe that during this continued time and our uncertain future, we are offering the best
possible education we can, that surpasses the vast majority of other schools I am aware of through my
research and talking with colleagues elsewhere. The COVID-19 is unprecedented, no one has the
answers to when schools will open and how schools will open. As a school and as parents, we need to
do the best for our children's education in this situation. At Regent, and as seen in the best schools in the
UK and across the world, we have put in place the best education for our students, this is what we are
offering your children currently, so please let us continue to learn and grow together during these
difficult times.
Thank you again for your continued support, the efforts you go through to ensure your child(ren), attend
online learning is an absolute credit to you and our community.
Stay safe.
Kindest regards,
Mr. D. Andrew Williams
Principal.
FROM THE VICE PRINCIPAL PASTORAL’S DESK
t
I has been almost 12 weeks since the FCT Administration closed schools due to the COVID 19
pandemic. At that point, no one was certain what the outcome was going be and how teaching and learning
would continue effectively.
The Senior Leadership Team of The Regent School led by our Principal, Mr. Williams had numerous de-
liberations on how to ensure our students continued learning and engaging in different forms of co-
curricular activities. Looking back at these 12 weeks, many of our achievements have not been accidental
but rather based on research, countless trials, and constant feedback from our surveys from stakeholders.
We have had many training sessions for our staff and developed a huge video library of tutorials for stu-
dents and staff members. We expanded our IT infrastructure to ensure we have the latest hardware and
software packages to run our Online Learning Programme.
At the Regent School, our Student Leaders play an important role in the running of the school and they are
always part of the decision making body. We have engaged them in several meetings to get their opinion
on different matters. Even now, we are in the process of concluding the Student and Boarding Council elec-
tions as the new group of Student Leaders take over from the out-going ones. We would like to thank our
Year 11 Student Leaders for their immense contribution to the school. The feedback and contribution from
our students is always much appreciated.
We sent out E-Learning Daily Feedback Surveys to our students to find out if they were satisfied with the
quality of our delivery and other issues that required our attention. Just recently, we ensured all concerned
adhered to our Homework policy when students complained in the daily feedback.
