Plaza Area
The Plaza Area is gateway to the baseball
and softball fields. Visitors will enter
through an entry arch feature signifying
they have reached their destination. The
new paved sidewalk will include brick
pavers that relate to feel of entering a
traditional ballfield complex. New trees
and lighting along the sidewalk will
provide that park-like atmosphere of
attending a ballgame at a unique setting.
A larger center courtyard area will
provide a gathering space for crowds. It
will feature sheltered picnic tables for
pre-game and in-between games
snacking and conversations.
The new walk is also wide enough to
serve as maintenance drive for the staff
to reach the areas behind the fields.
Other improvements in the maintenance
area include grass pavers, which allow for
grass to grow and access for vehicles to
lessen the impact on the area.
