Baseball Improvements
The improvements at the baseball field begin
with new synthetic turf for entire field. The
existing grass outfield will now become
synthetic turf and the existing infield synthetic
turf will be replaced so the entire field will be a
new, complete, up-to-date synthetic turf
system.
New masonry dugouts will replace the existing
dugouts. The new dugouts will feature a new
design concept that will be carried through all
the improvements in the complex. The
dugouts will have power and lights, and the
home team will additional improvements.
A new video scoreboard will bring the latest
technology to the ballpark, with complete box
score and video capabilities to assist in keeping
the crowd engaged.
New sports field lighting will allow the Reivers
to play games during the evenings, providing
additional activities on campus for students an
visitors.
A new press box, backstop, fencing, canopy
over the bleachers, and a new PA system are
other improvements proposed for the baseball
field under the first phase of the Master Plan.
