Summer Festival

Friends of Fircrest was thrilled to provide supplemental funding for
“Summer Festival” (previously called “Funfest”)!
This included music by The Guy Johnson Trio - always a popular feature of

activities on campus. The theme was “Groovy”, with banners, balloons,
games, and prizes. Because of Covid precautions, public participation was
limited - but peace, love, and understanding prevailed!

ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT:

There is no doubt that the pandemic continues to limit the ways in which
Friends of Fircrest is able to provide enrichment opportunities. In addition
to providing lots of fun gardening gear in the spring, we approved and
sponsored a campus favorite, the Guy Johnson Trio for Summer Fest. We
also have 200 pumpkins ordered and scheduled for delivery in mid-October.
Watch for the campus to soon turn orange! Lastly, we’ve kicked off our 4th
annual Christmas shopping spree and look forward to having Santa place a

gift under the tree for every resident again this year. If you have additional
ideas of how we may provide extra enrichment opportunities, please reach
