ABOUT RON
After many years of strictly assignment photography, I moved into Fine Art
photography. Now I am primarily a Fine Art photographer. These days
with new innovations in technology seeming to
appear daily, I find that photography is more of a joy
than ever. My creativity seems to be in constant flux
as I explore new avenues to improve my images and
how I view the world around me. With the improve-
ments in today’s technologies, I am able to create the
vision I had in mind when I captured the photograph.
With my Fine Art photography, I try to explore a full
spectrum of ideas covering color, black & white, and
a combination of both. Thankfully I have had success
in each, which makes me challenge myself even more.
I heard a wonderful quote recently, which was “if you
have no destination you can’t get lost, and if you
have no timetable, you can’t be late.” One of my
greatest joys is to set out walking with no goal in
mind, other than photography. The most pleasure
from these outings is finding something extraordinary in the ordinary.
Sometimes I am surprised that a photograph I thought would be extraordi-
nary, when I took it, is sometimes overshadowed by a photo that seems
mundane at the moment of capture. For me photography can be full of
surprises no matter how much you plan in advance.
My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and
observe, and my camera is my passport.
