Dr. Michele Zappavigna
University of New South Wales, Sydney

she is a lecture from University of New South
Wales, Sydney, and she also is a linguist, her
primary focus is on exploring the discourse of
social media, in terms of linguistic,
paralinguistic, and multimodal patterns.
Essentially she interested in ‘ambient
affiliation’: how people bond online. Some of
this research has been published in her books
Discourse of Twitter and Social Media and
Searchable Talk: Hashtags and Social Media
