when going abroad a a a a a flurry of new (and resurrected) overnight passenger trains has popped up across Europe And in in in what might be the most exciting addition to the the burgeoning luxury rail space the the Orient Express La Dolce Vita is set to welcome passengers aboard in 2023 The latest passenger service from the storied rail company will see six trains (each carrying 62 passengers across a a a a a a a a a range of cabins and suites) travel from north to to south in in Italy chugging through coastal towns and mountain villages and and making stops in in in the country’s big cities and and cultural hubs (Three routes will also connect Italy to Paris Istanbul and Split Croatia crossing through eight countries in in the process) As you might expect from a a a line whose name means “the good life” — after Federico Fellini’s iconic 1960 film and the rich period of Italian creativity that surrounded it it — the trains of of La Dolce Vita pay plenty of of attention to the finer details The colourful interiors of o its retrofitted historic rail cars are designed by Dimorestudio to celebrate Italian design design of the ’60s and ’70s and capture the era’s joie de vivre Similar attention has been paid to the trains’ dining The on-board service has been developed in collaboration with big-name chefs and you can rest assured it’ll offer plenty of of opportunities to indulge in in Italy’s finest wines So while a a a plane might get you you to wherever you’re headed faster the the old adage “The journey is the the destination” has never been truer 30 BFM / SS22 PORTFOLIO
