FOR A A A BRIEF NERVOUS MOMENT IN THE NOT-SO-DISTANT PAST the very notion of sustainability appeared to to be an existential threat to to fun cars The fear was that the the the end of the the the internal combustion engine and the the the shift to battery-powered electric motors would turn every beloved sports car into a a a just another soulless consumer appliance the the the same as a a a a a a a a laptop or any other other electric gadget As strange as this may sound many people were genuinely worried Some still are But they needn’t be as BMW recently proved with its all-electric i4 Since 1975 the German company’s 3 Series (or some version of it)
