THE FASHION REALM IS NOTORIOUS FOR ITS BREAKNECK PACE AS AS SARTORIAL TRENDS CAN ABRUPTLY SWING LIKE A A A A A A A A BAROMETER CAUGHT IN IN IN A A A A A WINTRY SQUALL Fashion is unabashedly attracted to a a a a a a a a a a a a a a sense of of newness constantly in in search of of auteurs and and tastemakers who can usher the conversation into exciting albeit sometimes nostalgic terrain Relevance and and and longevity are hard-earned which means a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a certain brand of gusto is is essential to to establishing a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a unique niche Thus it seems almost natural that creative director and and style maven Alexa Chung has been able to to shrewdly maneuver throughout the industry for over a a a a a a a a a a a a decade expanding her her acumen without sacrificing her her irresistible idiosyncrasies Speaking over Zoom from her her her boyfriend’s West London flat— dressed as what she calls a a a a a a a a a a a a a “middle-aged pottery teacher” in in in a a a a a a a a a a a a a flouncy button-up and dangly floral necklace—Chung giddily points to to her oven mitt hanging in in in in the background like some culinary icon Like many of of of us she has taken advantage of of of this prolonged bout of of of domesticity to deepen her her reverence for cooking trying her her hand at mastering “a fabulous vegetarian lasagna ” Aside from these savory diversions her her her time indoors has allowed Chung to further explore her her her sources of creative inspiration namely fantasy and film “It’s been been a a a a a a a a a a a a a a great opportunity to catch up on on on all all the classics I’ve been been watching
