     INTERNATIONAL POLICY


     Preamble



     The Founder, Board of Trustees and staff recognize that:
     • The world is increasingly becoming a global village and no nation can thrive on its own without
     continuous interrelationship with other nations of the world in terms of trade, health, communication,

     ensuring world peace, biodiversity and climate change; hence, making these global issues an integral part
     of our students’ lives is a commitment in CKA.
     • Our vision, mission, values and the attitudes of our students should reflect these global perspectives. Our
     key academic programmes and social activities are centred on the 21st century core skills.

     • In our institution we have a commitment to both gender and racial equality.
     Focus
     • Our focus is to expose our students to more global issues in this ever-dynamic world of ours.
     • We also want to share the beautiful cultural heritage in our school, local and national communities with

     the rest of the world;
     • We want to continuously integrate extant innovations globally accepted into our curriculum, teaching
     and learning techniques.
     • Also prepare our students for life in diverse global society.

     • And create a caring and stimulating environment that motivate learners to be part of global collaborators
     in the development of our dynamic world.
     Objectives
     • To develop a strong awareness of similarities and differences in lifestyles and culture in a range of other

     countries.
     • To partner with foreign schools with the aim of enriching our whole school curriculum and
     communication in ICT through internet projects, staff and student visitations to a variety of places around
     the world and student exchanges.

     • To actively encourage the study of foreign languages for our students.
     • To develop our curriculum and programme skills to centre around key global dimensions of world peace,
     human rights, sustainable development, global citizenship, interdependence and social justice
     • To regularly promote and share our rich cultural heritage while embracing international unity.

     • To continually develop and develop current and new global relationship.
     Plenary
     Our policy and curriculum will continually be reviewed to conform to extant innovations in global
     practices and relations. We will continue to sort new ways of collaboration with partners and countries

     around the world and create opportunities for our students to embrace the key concepts of global
     dimensions in our daily activities.
