Under the long smooth bonnet and behind the controls,
everything was revolutionary. In fact, to show how far ahead
Citroen were with their design and ideas, in the mid 2000’s (40
years into the future) one international car manufacturer
introduced headlamps that followed the direction you steered
the car and moved in unison.
Citroen introduced this into the UK in 1968 with the DS
“Pallas”. The car I drove was a French built car imported to
encourage sales for the car to come into the UK.

Note the pedals, the car had a veritable brain of its own.

               DRIVING A PALLAS
Cars always have been a passion with me and different
            models intrigued me.
The Pallas I was to drive on the test was left hand drive.
The new ranges of cars for sale had yet to arrive and besides,
were normally ordered by clients direct from the factory, with
their own particular requirements for paint finish and internal
            refinements.
