History
GWENHYFAR is a 63 foot wooden yawl designed by Sean McMillan and built in Ipswich by Spirit Yachts. She is designed to be a fast Ocean crossing cruiser, and to be attractive on the water. Launched
in 2018 she immediately had a busy season competing in the Panerai Regatta at Cowes and BCYC Regattas in Suffolk and Cowes in 2019. In the autumn of 2019 she raced across the Atlantic in the ARC
finishing 5th overall. She returned in the spring of 2020 and has since been racing in the RCIYC series and cruising local Guernsey Bailiwick Islands.
She is primarily a family boat and takes us on leisurely cruises in elegant luxury. However, in the hands of our experienced and cheery Guernsey men crew, she transforms into a fast and capable racing
competitor!
