Frances will soon be on the for sale market

When composing these race three notes, the item about Frances being
listed for sale was the fourth in order of presentation.

After composing the story the urgency of the for sale news said, make

Recent discussions with the
owner of Frances have revealed
she’ll soon be placed on the open
market. To date we know Sydney
connections have been giving her
a serious look over. If Frances
leaves Port Phillip the
opportunity to restart classic

eight metre racing on Port Phillip

Her owner desperately wants her to stay and to restart her racing career
on Port Phillip . To have two of the most credentialed eight metre
yachts world wide, that is, Frances and Vanessa, racing together on
Port Phillip, is an unbeatable classic yachting draw card.

If Port Phillip can’t take her on

then it’s most likely off to
Sydney town or Europe where
she will be a highly prized
possession. To date the
shipping costs have saved her
from European hands, but not
so from those very eager
Sydney sailors. She would be
one of the glamour boats of the
Frances lee gunn’l down
Harbour. Along side tSydney’s
other eight meter Defiance. To have both Digby designed eight metres

racing together on the Harbourwould be an unbeatable story
