The goal of this research was to develop a portable sensor that could serve as an alternative to the current instruments used for detecting heavy metals. The results, particularly from water source testing, demonstrate that the developed sensor has the potential to serve as a portable and user- friendly tool for heavy metal detection in water sources and may serve as an alternative to ICP-MS.
