On that day a the springs of the
great dp burst forth, and the
fl dgates of the heavens were
opened. And rain fe on the earth And a living things upon the earth
40 days and 40 nights. perished—birds, domestic and wild animals,
and reptiles and a mankind— everything
that breathed and lived upon dry land.

For 40 days the roaring fl ds prevailed,
covering the ground and lifting the boat high
above the earth. As the water rose higher and
higher above the ground, the boat floated safely
upon it; until fina y the water covered a the high
mountains under the whole heaven, standing 22
ft and more above the highest peaks.

Every living thing on the face of the earth
was wiped out. Only Noah was left, and those
with him in the ark. The waters fl ded the
earth for 150 days.

But God remembered Noah and a that
were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind
over the earth, and the waters receded.
